5 Steps to plan your maternity photo session

ONE

Choosing your date & getting in touch.

I recommend selecting a date between 28 and 36 weeks (month 7 or 8). The reason I recommend booking your photo session during this time is because your belly is getting nice and round. It is also before you gain water retention, possible swollen ankles and your belly isn't too heavy or restrictive with your movements.

Well done, you have completed step 1 already.

TWO

Let's confirm your booking.

In order to secure your date and time I do require a 50% booking fee to be paid within 7 days of receiving your invoice.

The outstanding amount will only need to be settled on the day of your photo session.

THREE

Choose your dress

OOH, now things start to get fun. I will send you a list of dresses available for your photo session date. Simply choose your favourite dress and it will be ready for you when you arrive in studio.

All dresses are designed by Marlize Meeding and are either stretchy or adjustable for preggy ladies.

If you are concerned about the fit, simply let me know your current dress size, and I can check in with Marlize for her best recommendations.

FOUR

Prep Guide

Make a cup of tea and relax for a little light reading of the prep guide.

This will be sent via email  when confirming your booking fee has been received and your date is confirmed.

For those that like an early start, you can have a read through the prep guide here.

FIVE

Photo Shoot Day

Make sure you pack your bags the night before with extra outfits, and little details you would like to include.

If siblings are coming along remember snacks (you can store them in the studio fridge) and gifts for being an awesome model for the day always work well with bribing kiddies to do poses.

I recommend putting the address into Waze app and setting your time of arrival the day before. Turn notification on, as when traffic starts to build - waze will notify you that you need to leave earlier.

This is a wonderful little app that will get you to the studio on time. Arriving on time will allow you time to relax and have a cup of tea before starting your session. I love having my clients as calm as possible on photo shoot day!

SIX

Almost Done

Remember the day of your photo session is the day to settle the outstanding amount on your invoice. This will allow me to release your images to your online gallery as soon as they are ready and without delay.

If you have already settled your invoice then you get to sit back, relax and wait a few days for your images to arrive. Online Galleries are delivered within 7 working days of receiving final payment.

Memory boxes, prints and USB's are delivered via courier to your door once printing is complete. (Expect delivery within 2 weeks of selecting your favourite prints)
